Meeting pattern information for an academic section record can be expanded into individual meeting date instances. Working with meeting date instances allows for exception handling and room assignment for individual dates.
NOTE: Room assignment exceptions and cancellations of individual meeting dates are not overwritten during regular section updates during an import. Exceptions are only overwritten if the section meeting pattern is changed.
Perform the following to view and edit section meeting dates:
1.Click the Sections option from the Academics tab.
2.Using the filter options and Section List, identify a section that requires editing.
3.Click on the “Course/Section” link to view the section record details screen.
4.Click the icon to view the section meeting details. Notice the individual meeting dates listed toward the bottom of the page.
5.Click the Edit button to enter edit mode for the meeting.
Meeting dates may now be added or canceled, as well as have room assignments modified.
1.Click into the date or time cells in the meeting date list.
2.Edit the date or time as desired.
3.Click Save on the section meeting to save your changes.
1.Click the delete icon to the left of the meeting date.
2.Confirm the meeting date cancellation.
The meeting date is crossed through and shaded gray.
You may restore the date at any time by clicking edit on the meeting and then clicking the restore icon for the date.
1.Click the Drop Room button to the right of the meeting date row.
2.Click Save on the section meeting.
The meeting is no longer meeting in the room on that date.
1.Click the Assign Room button to the right of the meeting date row.
2.Using the Ad Hoc Scheduler, choose a new room for the meeting date.
3.Click OK.
4.Click Save on the section meeting.
The meeting date will now reflect the room change.
